Ive been experimenting a bit over the last number of years, playing different styles, as Ive played in a variety of different venues. Although Id prefer to play house or breaks, Ive played with a lot of hip hop and funk DJs and I suppose their sound rubbed off a bit.

The following mix is a fairly laidback funk affair, starting off unsurprisingly with the king of funk, James Brown. Most of the tracks are from the 70s and 80s and pure funk. No car washes here.

The mix starts off at a modest 98 bpms and slowly builds throughout the mix. There are also a few hip hoppy tracks thrown in for good measure.
